History
The firm was started in 1884 by Francis Henry Nalder [1859-1972] in
partnership with his brother to manufacture electrical instruments in
Brentford Middlesex. In 1899 the business was registered under the name
Nalder Brothers and Thompson Ltd, Mr E Thompson being one of the
directors. IN 1914 the factory moved to larger premises in Dalston
where it continued to operate until 1969.
