Everett Edgecumbe recording voltmeter voltmeter in wooden case, 180-280 Volts AC. Working. After cleaning the instrument inside and out, soaking the pen tip in alcohol and putting ink in the reservoir I was able to obtain a trace. The input terminals were connected to a 'Variac' and the reading on the recorder was found to be accurate. The date stamped on clockwork mechanism is 28/10/1940. Everett Edgecumbe & Co Ltd.
